Gloria Richardson

Gloria Jean Richardson, age 78, of River Falls, WI, formerly of Ellsworth, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at Comforts of Home in River Falls.

Born on January 16, 1947, in Eau Claire, WI, Gloria was the daughter of Ollie and Virginia (Capion) Supri. She attended Memorial High School and later pursued a career in healthcare, becoming a nursing assistant/ caregiver at Chippewa Valley Hospital, Luther Nursing Home in River Falls and Prescott Nursing Home.

In her heart, Gloria was always a loving wife and mother. She married the love of her life, Erle James Richardson, and together they were blessed with five children: Tod, Shannon, Lisa, Teresa, and Tonya. Gloria cherished her family and found joy in being surrounded by her loved ones.

Gloria had a deep affection for animals, particularly horses, dogs, and cats, which brought her great comfort. She was an avid cook, and her home was often filled with the warmth of her culinary creations. An artist at heart, Gloria, found joy in drawing and painting, as well as spending time visiting with friends. She had a special place in her heart for life’s simple pleasures—whether it was a round of bingo, a trip to the casino, or dancing to her favorite tunes.

She is survived by her children, Tod Shafer, Shannon Haddeman, Lisa Richardson, Teresa (Louis) Sly, and Tonya Zeien, as well as her brothers, Dennis Supri and Eugene (Kathy) Supri. Gloria also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erle, and her parents.

A celebration of Gloria’s life will take place on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 225 S 3rd St., River Falls, WI. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.
