Gloria Mary Amber Veenendall, age 93, died peacefully on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 at Western Wisconsin Health Hospital. Gloria was born on July 1st, 1925 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in the El Paso & Spring Valley, WI area. Gloria attended grade school at Lone Balsam Country School, & went to high school at Spring Valley High School.
On August 31, 1943 Gloria married her sweetheart, Edward Veenendall. This union was blessed with five children, Eugene (Sandy), Mary Lou (Tom) Levi, Barbara (Larry) Anderson, Larry (Diane), & Nancy (Glen) Haines.
Gloria & Ed worked side by side on their dairy farm north of Baldwin their entire married life until retiring. Gloria also worked as a cook for the A&W Root Beer stand & the Northside Café. The couple enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, playing cards & bingo, & going to the casino. But most of all, Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family & friends.
Gloria had been a resident at the Baldwin Care Center for the past four years. She enjoyed the people she met there & all the music & activities they provided. She was loved by all & will be missed.
Gloria will remain in the hearts of her 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister Donna Nicholson, brother Chuck (Margaret) Langer, & numerous friends & relatives.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Ed, her parents Charles & Bernice Langer, an infant granddaughter, grandson Steven, son-in-law Jack Leibke, brothers & sisters-in-law.
A Funeral Service for Gloria will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 6th at the First Reformed Church of Baldwin. A Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM at church prior to the service. Interment will occur at the Baldwin Cemetery. Services entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
