Gloria Elaine Voskuil, age 90 of Hudson, passed away on March 9, 2019 at the Christian Community Home. Gloria was born on December 10, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Rolph and Manetta (Rapke) Hartig. She graduated in 1946 from North High School in Minneapolis. Gloria was united in marriage to Paul Voskuil on December 10, 1948, her 20th birthday. Their union in marriage was blessed with two children, and Gloria enjoyed the opportunity to provide for her family and take care of her children. The family made their home in Minneapolis, and relocated to Toledo, OH in 1975, before the couple retired to Hudson in 1997.

Gloria possessed a positive and cheerful outlook on life and was very encouraging to anyone with struggles. Her favorite color was yellow because it looked as if the sun was always shining. She was an active volunteer in all of the church she attended throughout her life, and truly believed in the power of prayer. Gloria was fond of music and thoroughly loved singing with the church choir. She adored her beautiful flower garden, and cherished the memories of her past of the time she spent dancing with Paul and socializing as a couple. 

Gloria is survived by her children, Kathleen (Greg Granger) and Thomas (Lynn Umemoto); and sister, Carol (Anton) Roggemann; niece and nephews, Danny, Mike (Leanne), Tony (Lisa) and Elizabeth (Rich); along with many other beloved family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; grandson, Matthew Bregant; and her parents. 

A memorial service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the First Presbyterian Church of Hudson. Memorials are preferred to Grace Place, 505 W. 8th St., New Richmond, WI.
