Grace (Mauer) Luhman

Grace (Mauer) Luhman of Hudson passed away on her 98th birthday October 13, 2024 at the Pine Ridge, Christian Community Home of Hudson. The family would like to express their gratitude to their caring staff.
She was born October 13, 1926 in Fennimore, WI the daughter of Ruben and Vida Mauer. She received her Teaching Degree from the Milwaukee State Teachers College (now known as The University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee).
On February 19, 1949 she and George “Burt” Luhman, Jr. were married in Fennimore and moved to Milwaukee
Grace was active in her church and community. Later in life Grace started painting. She also enjoyed reading, and playing bridge with her extended family at their lake cottage in Northern Wisconsin.
Preceding her in death were her husband and brother Lloyd Mauer .
Survived by her three children Jane (Mike) Dejno, Kate Williams, and Tom (Ellen) Luhman; grandchildren Ryan, Scott, Amy, Nyssa, and Caitlyn; great-grandchildren Anna and Adam; and sister Ruth Rankin.
Private family services and interment will be in Fennimore.
Memorials are preferred to the Hudson United Methodist Church.
