Helen Jane Jacobson, 82 of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home.

Helen was born on May 26, 1934, the daughter of Harold and Elsie (Fosberg) Jacobson. She was raised by Henry and Tina Bristol as her foster parents. Helen was known as a very Godly woman, being extremely active in the church. She taught Sunday School for many years, helped out with the church financials, and volunteered at the church’s stand at the fair. Helen also volunteered driving the elderly to appointments. She loved being around people and kept very busy.

Helen is survived by her four siblings; Elaine (Ron) Edlund of St Croix Falls, WI, Richard “Jake” (Kathy) Jacobson of Red Wing, MN, Adeline (Bernie) Schroeder of Hastings, MN, and Carolyn (Leon) Meixner of Ellsworth, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harry and Herb Jacobson; sister, Dorothy Rehder; two sisters-in-law, Margaret and Norma Jacobson; and nephew, Brian Jacobson.

A funeral Service for Helen will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 23, 2016 at the English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, WI with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. A visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at the church.

Burial will follow service at the St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery with Steve Jacobson, Herbert Jacobson Jr., Bill Rehder, Scott Jacobson, John Schroeder and Joseph Schroeder serving as Pallbearers.
