Helen Sarno

Helen Ann Sarno, age 92 of Hudson, WI, passed away May 7, 2024 at Comforts of Home in Hudson, WI. Helen was born April 14, 1932 to Walter and Daisy Loewisch in New York, NY.

After graduating from Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, MA, Helen received her Bachelor of Biology degree from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. Later in life, she continued her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed helping others in this career path up until her retirement.

Family was always important to Helen. She valued the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen also enjoyed many years of gathering with her extended family in western Massachusetts for family reunions. Helen was a self-taught cook and baker. When sharing her recipes with family and friends, she loved bringing everyone together and enjoyed their company. Helen also loved butterflies and lighthouses, but most of all her two miniature schnauzers.

Helen will remain in the hearts of her children Andrew (Debbie) Sarno, Gregory (Nancy) Sarno, Timothy (Patricia) Sarno; grandchildren Erica, James, Michael (Hallie), William (Gabriella), Oran, Fiona; great-grandchildren Benjamin, Megan and Grayson.

A private family inurnment will take place later this summer at Ocean County Memorial Park in Tom’s River, NJ.
