Henrietta A. Pechacek, 84 of River Falls, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond.She was born on October 5, 1929 in Prescott to Henry and Anna (Buck) Denzer. She graduated from Prescott High School and later attended St. Marys School of Nursing in Rochester and received her nursing degree. Henrietta married Lawrence “Bill” Pechacek on October 21, 1952. She worked at River Falls City Hospital. She volunteered at Pierce County Youth Service for many years.Henrietta was a member of St. Mary’s (Big River) Catholic Church, the choir and its Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens and helping at St. Bridget’s Home and School program when her children were younger. She cherished her time she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is survived by seven children; Peter (Sheila) Pechacek of River Falls, Mary (Donald) Chapman of River Falls, Charles Pechacek of River Falls, Lori (Tom) Mathys of Somerset, Liz (Paul) Stephani of Roberts, Fay (Terry) Strenke of Clear Lake and Kristi (Jeff) Cernohous of Hudson, 16 grandchildren; Rose Anne, Rachel, Duane, Emily, Kelly, Michael, Brian, Madeleine, Logan, Tyler, Chelsey, Gina, Ericka, Brandon, Cooper and Casey, six great grandchildren; William, Sonya, Clayton, Brianna, Hunter and Henry, sister; Helen (Harlyn) Puhrmann, three sister-in-laws; Nettie, Elaine and JoAnne Denzer, nieces, nephews and other relatives.She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers; William, Stanley and David and a grandson; Raymond.
