James Hatch

James M Hatch age 77 of Menomonie died peacefully Saturday December 1, 2012 at The Arc housing in Menomonie. James was born on March 16, 1935; the son of Arthur and Annabelle (Hamilton) Hatch. Jim was born mentally handicapped.  But that didn’t stop Jim from loving life. Jim had three favorite things he liked to do.  One was going fishing and watching his bobber dance on the water; either from the shore or a boat. His frequent visits to the Senior Center where he was surrounded by others. Even if he didn’t know you; he may come up to you and say, “Hi I’m Jim!” And the third was watching the Packers play football.  He was active in the Special Olympics and loved going out to eat.

Jim is survived by his brother David (Roxanne) Hatch, Sister-in-law Sharon Hatch, nieces/nephews Kenneth (Julie) Hatch, Bryan Hatch, Bradley (Renee) Hatch, Rachelle (John) Wetzel, Kristopher (Laura) Hatch, great nieces/nephews Brandy, Brandon, Dakota, Bridgette, Leo, Jenelle, Eli, Britteny, Ivy, Abbey, Amanda, and Brianna. Jim joins his parents Arthur and Annabelle, step mother Esther, and his brother Frank in death.

A memorial service will be 11AM Saturday, December 8th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of BALDWIN. A reception will immediately follow. He will be laid to rest in the Poplar Hills Cemetery in Rock Elm Township. Memorials are preferred. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes.
