James Austin Kiesler Jr., age 44 of Hudson WI, died unexpectedly on December 24, 2012. Jim, also known as “J.R.”, was born December 18, 1968 in Burlington WI to parents James and Elvira (Tuttle) Kiesler. Jim was a 1987 graduate of Bradford High School in Kenosha.

Jim worked as a machinist at United Gear and Assembly in Hudson. Outside of work, Jim loved to be outdoors. He lived to hunt and fish with family and friends. Jim especially loved bow hunting. Not only did he enjoy the challenge and the extra skill level required, but he appreciated being outdoors surrounded by nature.

Jim is survived by his son, Matthew Brian Pater; his parents, Jim and Elvira Kiesler; his brothers, David (fiancée Melissa Clarke) and Brian (wife Shelby) Kiesler; his sisters, Paula Addison and Laura Kiesler; his grandmother, Karen Ernst; his nieces and nephew, Amanda and Michael Addison, Kayla and Katie Kiesler, Ava Nicholson, Danielle, Briana, and Ashley Kiesler; as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

A memorial gathering honoring Jim will be held from 3:00 to 7:00PM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th Street S., in Hudson.
