Janet Roberta Rude, age 88 of North Hudson Wisconsin, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Prescott Rehab and Nursing Home in Prescott, Wisconsin. Janet was born to Robert and Agnes (Paulson) Pierson on September 29, 1932 in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. She trained EMT’s, and spent years with St. Joseph Hospital and St. John’s Hospital, retiring in the mid 1990’s.

Not long after nursing school, Janet married Ardelle Clifford Rude, a union that spanned 52 years before his passing in 2008. The two were blessed with five children, Lenny, Paul, Jim, David and Karen. They would raise their family while following Dell’s Air Force career; living in Kansas, Wisconsin, and even Japan. Janet had a great sense of humor, was an extremely hard worker, and carried herself with a strong sense of poise and calmness even in the face of tragedy and difficulty.

Janet will remain in the hearts of her son David (Deborah) Rude and daughter-in-law Lynn Rude, grandkids; Jonathan, Christopher, Jason (Samantha), and Elizabeth (Kory). Sister Ann Grimme, Brothers, Lynn Pierson and Bobby (Bonnie) Pierson. She is preceded in death by her husband Dell, sons Lenny, Paul and Jim, and daughter Karen.

A memorial service honoring Janet will be held at 11:00a.m. (Visitation 10:30am) Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 115 Fourth St. N, Stillwater, MN.
