Janice Iverson

d. September 8, 2018

Janice Elaine Iverson, age 77 of Hudson, died peacefully on September 8, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Janice was born on May 16, 1941 to William and Elaine (Colin) Pregent in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. She attended elementary school in Chippewa Falls and later graduated from Hudson High School. She worked as a secretary for Andersen Windows for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. Janice was also a member of Bethel Lutheran Church for many years. She was united in marriage to Ronald Iverson and together they were blessed with two daughters, Michelle and Teresa. Later this union would dissolve, but Janice would find another love of 25 years with Anthony Zagar.

Janice was a free spirit and roamed the United States with passion and purpose. She enjoyed traveling in her camper and especially loved to go to Louisiana for the Cajun-Zydeco Festivals. Dancing and music were an enormous part of Janice’s life. She spent her life dancing as if no one was watching. Janice moved at her own pace and really soaked up all that life had to offer. She was a social butterfly, being able to start a conversation with a total stranger. Janice did anything and everything that involved FUN. She was the life of the party and had a sparkle like none other. Janice was a one of a kind lady!

Janice is survived by her daughters; Michelle (Ross Freeman) Barr and Teresa Iverson; grandsons, David Barr and Samuel (Anastasia Osmac) Barr; and 3 brothers, Leigh (Maureen) Pregent, Scott Klagas and Val Klagas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Elaine; and brother Jim Pregent and the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Zagar.

A Celebration of Life for Janice will be held from 2-6pm on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her residence, 704 Monroe St. N, Hudson, WI. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory.
