Jason Brown

Jason Hayden Brown, age 41 of Woodville, formerly of New Brighton, MN, passed away suddenly December 2, 2011.  Jason was born on February 1, 1970 in Minneapolis, MN to Merrick and Ruth (Anderson) Brown.  Jason graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1990. In his early years, Jason enjoyed unicycling, karate and playing Frisbee.  Jason traveled the United States playing Frisbee and was the first Frisbee player to be on a box of Wheaties cereal.   He was united in marriage on October 26, 1991 to Georgeann Janisch at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in St. Paul.  Their marriage, which later dissolved, was blessed with 2 sons. Jason’s life was later blessed with another son.  He worked as a carpenter for Twin City Acoustics and was proud to be affiliated with the Local 87 Carpenters Union. 

Throughout his life, Jason enjoyed working on cars and was a self-taught mechanic.  He was a devoted and loving father to his 3 sons and cherished his time with them.  He treasured his time watching them play at their sporting events, as well as enjoyed fishing and playing Frisbee golf with them.  He was a proud MN Vikings fan and drag racing fan.  He also loved the companionship of his much-loved dog, Keno. 

Jason is survived by his beloved sons, Jason Brown Jr., Tyler Brown and Nathan Lee all of Woodville; parents, Merrick and Ruth Brown of New Brighton; former wife and friend, Georgeann Janisch of Woodville; Nathan’s mother, Gygy Lee of Woodville; brother and sister-in-law Douglas (Christine) Brown of Rock Creek, nephews and nieces, Justin, Wynonna, Ashley & Neil Brown; and his special dog, Keno.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret & Russell Anderson.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2011, with a 6:00 PM Funeral Service at Peace Lutheran Church of Baldwin with Pastor John Hanson officiating.  Private family interment will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Funeral Services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
