Jeannine Lynn Ryan, age 80 of Baldwin, WI, died on June 29, 2014 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Jeannine was born October 3, 1933 in Emerald, WI to parents Henry and Florence (nee Timm) Kuhn. Jeannine graduated from Spring Valley High School, and furthered her education at UW-River Falls, where she earned her Bachelors degree in teaching.
Jeannine was united in marriage to Gerald Joseph Ryan on June 30, 1956. This union in marriage would be blessed with a son, Brent, and a daughter, Sue.
Jeannine taught 2nd grade for nearly 30 years with the Baldwin-Woodville School District before retiring in 1997. Through her teaching years, she touched three generations of some local families, teaching many children and grandchildren of former students.
Jeannine was humble and quiet; a kind person and a good friend to many. She enjoyed traveling with Jerry, and trips to the casino, even making it out to Las Vegas this past January. The greatest joys for Jeannine, however, were found in being “grandma”. Family was paramount to Jeannine, and she adored her grandchildren, and was their biggest fan through all that they did. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jeannine is survived by her daughter, Sue (Harlan) Kvendru of St. Paul Park MN; son, Brent (Audrey) Ryan of Waukesha, WI; grandsons, Grant and Connor Kvendru, and Eric Ryan, and his mother Theresa; sister, Shirley (Sheldon) Kurath of Appleton, WI; sister-in-law, Diane Jenkins of New Brighton MN; nephews, Dean (Karen) Kurath, and David Kurath; nieces, Jane Kurath, Jackie (Mike) Chies, Darcy (John) Holick, and Jodi (Jim) Donaldson; aunt, Della Timm of Apple Valley MN; as well as many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; and her parents.
