Jeff Kenall

Jeffrey Robert Kenall, age 54, of Hudson, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. He was born the son of Richard Lee and Barbara Ann (McGlynn) Kenall on October 14, 1956 in Madison, WI. Jeff became the third generation to own and operate his family’s home construction business, Hudworth Homes (formerly Kenall Builders).

On September 8, 1984 Jeff was united in marriage to Laurie Kim Olson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hudson. They were blessed with two children: Joshua and Taylor. Jeff was involved with the Hudson Boosters for a few years, and the family had a membership at the St. Croix Yacht Club. Jeff loved boating and snowmobiling. He liked to hunt, especially deer, and to work in his yard. He kept things neat and tidy, especially the lawn, the garage, and his vehicles. He cheered for the Packers and the Badgers, and he always had a dog at his side. Above all, Jeff treasured time spent with his family and friends.

Jeff will remain in the hearts of his wife 27 years, Laurie; son, Joshua Kenall of Hudson; daughter, Taylor Kenall of Hudson; mother, Barbara Kenall of North Palm Beach, FL; siblings, Susan (Eugene) Zappa of Hudson, Lee (Kelly) Kenall of Hudson, Nancy (Russ) Meyer of Hudson; mother-in-law, Pearl Olson; siblings-in-law, Arlene (Jerry) Reardon, Orin Olson, Virginia (Si) Simon, and Allyn Olson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends – especially his canine companion, Mocha. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Kenall and father-in-law, Oliver Olson.

A funeral service will be held for Jeff at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 1st at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1205 Sixth St., Hudson. Visitations, one hour prior to the service at church and Sunday, July 31st from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, 715-386-3725.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred. www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com
