Jeffrey Russell Peterson age 53 of Red Wing, formerly of Ellsworth/River Falls died November 5th, 2021 at Woodlyn Heights Senior Living in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota after being treated for cancer.  Jeff was born on July 25, 1968 in White Bear Lake, MN; the son of James and Janet (Wohlers) Peterson. He attended school in River Falls graduating from the class of 1986. He furthered his education at Dakota Technical College in tool and dye. On February 9, 1996, he was married to the former Sheila Lynn Keller at the Mall Of America as part of a KQRS event. From this union, two daughters would be born. The union would later dissolve. Jeff worked as a tool maker over his career. Over those years, he worked for Stillwater Motors as a Mechanic, Performance Tools in Lakeville and Morrissey Inc. in Bloomington as a CNC operator.

Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding his bicycle, snowmobiling, camping and fishing.  He also enjoyed a good game of darts and watching his favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt.

Jeff is survived by his daughters Jennifer ‘Jasper’ and Jaime Peterson; former wife Sheila; brother James ‘Jim” Peterson, as well as other extended relatives. His parents precede him in death.

A memorial gathering for Jeffrey Peterson will be Thursday, November 11th from 5pm to 7pm with a prayer service to conclude at 7pm at the First Congregational Church, 110 N 3rd Street in River Falls. Burial will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City, MN. Memorials are preferred to his family.
