Jeffrey W. King, age 74 of Hudson died December 15, 2023.

Jeff was born on March 9, 1949 in River Falls, WI, to Bruce and Florence King of North Hudson.  He was the 9^th child of a family of ten.  After his schooling, he worked for 14 years at St. Croix Steel Workers.  Then worked for West Industries/United Gear until he retired at 62.

Jeff loved attending family and friends’ get-togethers and partying at the annual “fish-fry.”  Jeff enjoyed fishing, whether in a boat, the shores of Lake Mallalieu or St. Croix River. Jeff made trips to Canada with family and friends. When his freezer was filled, he’d give away fish filets. He enjoyed the early Labor Day weekend trips up north with family for bar hopping, including casino trips and slot machines. Jeff was loud but a gentle giant who could tell exaggerated stories, but by the end have you laughing. A favorite routine included Sunday morning with his brothers and sisters. Another great time included Friday night penny-ante-poker with family and friends. Jeff, we know you’re smiling and happy again because you’re back home with loved ones.

Jeff is survived by two sisters, Susie and Rosemary, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Donnie, Gary, Dale, Bruce, and Jimmy; and two sisters, Joyce and Donna. Per Jeff’s request, no services will be held.
