Jennifer Jean Hinz, age 42, of River Falls, WI passed away peacefully at her parent’s home in Star Prairie, WI on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 after losing her battle with cancer. She was born on May 15, 1975 in Red Wing, MN to Jeff and Jane Hinz. Jen was an Osceola High School graduate, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. She was a Programming Analyst working for the City of Minneapolis in the Water Works Department.

When Jen wasn’t working one could find her working in her yard, spending time outdoors enjoying nature or spending time with family.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Carl & Eva Wichman and Kenneth Hinz.

She is survived by her loving fiancé, Jason Wood of River Falls; her parents, Jeff and Jane Hinz of Star Prairie; brother, Joe (Heather) Hinz of Star Prairie; nieces, Kally, Amber, Jana Hinz; nephew, Trevor Hinz all of Star Prairie; grandmother, Betty Hinz of River Falls; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Jennifer will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 1st at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in River Falls, WI. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31st at Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls and 1 hour prior to the service, at church, on Thursday.
