Jerome Robert “Jary” Gilseth, age 71 of Ellsworth WI and formerly of Hastings MN, went home to his Heavenly Father peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, after a short yet courageous battle with cancer on December 13, 2020.

Jary is preceded in death by his father, Glen, his mother, Genevieve, and brother, Thom Gilseth.

Born May 18, 1949 in Brainerd MN, Jary is survived by his wife, Mary, of 50 years. Jary and Mary have 2 daughters, Arin (Ash) and grandson, Kaleb of South St. Paul, and Molly Gilseth of Minneapolis.

Jary attended the Minneapolis School of Art & Design. He made his love of art his career for over 50 years, and enjoyed sharing it with others. He was a business partner in the graphic arts, design, and printing. Jary found creativity in everything he did. After 20 years of living in Hastings MN, he and Mary bought a hobby farm south of Ellsworth, and for 20 years, enjoyed creating memories on their farm with family and friends.

Jary and Mary made the Bethel Covenant Church their church home. Jary always found ways to connect his creativity with his passion for Christ within the church family and the community.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, a private family service will be held. You are, however, invited to join with other family and friends for a Livestream of Jary’s service through the Bethel Covenant Church Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/bethelcovenantchurch  Jary’s service will be livestreamed on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 beginning at 11:11am.

In lieu of any flowers, memorials honoring Jary Gilseth may be directed to the discretion of his family.
