Jo Ann Eling, age 67 of Lakeland, MN, Devoted Wife, Mom & Grandma, passed away August 16, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.  Jo was born May 12, 1945 in St. Paul, MN to Albert “Bud” and Fran (Ford) Rodgers. She graduated from South St. Paul High School, class of 1964. Jo was united in marriage to John Eling on May 4, 1964 .  Their marriage was blessed with two children, John Jr. and Kelly. She worked for 17 years at  “More 4” grocery store, as well as cashiering at various fast food restaurants in the Hudson area. She was an avid baker, with banana bread being her speciality. In her earlier years, she loved to swim and waterski.  Jo took great pleasure in entertaining her friends and family and loved hosting pool parties at their home, always having a big spread of food for her guests. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband, John of 48 years; children, John Jr. (Pauline) Eling and Kelly (Doug) Goplin; grandchildren, Nick, Jessica, Tony, Chary, Kara and Trenton; siblings, Barb, Roger, Jerry, Jeanine, and Candy; and many dear friends. Jo was preceded in death by parents; and her brother, Jack. Visitation 4-8 PM Monday, August 20, 2012 at O’Connell Funeral Home, 520 11th St., Hudson, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice.
