Joan Fritz, Age 78 of Hudson, formerly Woodbury, Died December 26th, 2015 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson.

Joan was born on May 1, 1937 in West St. Paul, Minnesota; the daughter of Peter and Esther Sauber.  Being raised in the cities, she graduated from Humboldt High School. Joan worked for 3M for thirty-eight years, retiring as office manager.  On February 5, 1977, she was united in marriage to Richard Fritz in St. Paul. They lived in Woodbury before moving to Hudson in 1998.

Joan enjoyed sewing, bowling, cooking, and a run to a casino to try her luck.  She loved to get together with her close friends to shop or have lunch.

She is survived by husband Richard; children David (Robin) Fritz of Champlin, DeAnna (John) Hoien of Buffalo; grandchildren Krystl (Curt), Kim, Austin, Alexa; great grandchildren Jadin & Josie; and sister-in-law Marion Sauber. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Peter and Roland.

Celebration of Life 1 to 3pm Tues. Dec 29, O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 So. 11th St, Hudson, WI. Interment will be at a later date in Ft Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
