Joan Elizabeth St. Ores, age 86 of Hudson, WI passed away on Saturday night, April 30th, at the Christian Community Home of Hudson. She was born the daughter of Bernard and Edna (Roach) McDonald on October 13, 1924 in Wisconsin Rapids. She graduated from Hudson High School (where she and her sister were the first drum majorettes) and went on to attend UW-Madison. On December 26, 1946 Joan was united in marriage to Raymond St. Ores at the Catholic church in Black River Falls, WI. They were blessed with a son, Jeff. Joan loved to dance, and she was active in the Hudson Valley Arts Guild and the St. Patrick’s church choir. She also enjoyed reading and her cat memorabilia.

Joan is survived by her husband of 64 years, Raymond St. Ores of Hudson; son, Jeff St. Ores of Trego, WI; sister, Bernie Luebke of Hudson; niece, Deb (Tom) Offner of Hudson; nephew, Greg (Katherine) Luebke of Hudson; former-daughter-in-law, Vicki Fuehrer; and her extended St. Ores family.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joan at 11:00 on Wednesday, May 11th at St. Patrick’s Church in Hudson. Visitations will be one hour prior to Mass at church and on Tuesday, May 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, 715-386-3725.
