Joanne Marie Schultz

Joanne Marie Schultz, age 62, of River Falls, WI passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. She was born March 18, 1953 to Harland and Dorothy (Auth) Hartung in Durand, WI. She graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1971 and received her RN Degree in 1973 in Rochester, MN. On December 15, 1973 she was united in marriage to Larry Schultz. Joanne was an RN at the River Falls Area Hospital for 40 years.

To Joanne, family came first. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister and aunt. She treasured the time she could spend with her granddaughters. Joanne was blessed to have an extensive network of friends that she enjoyed spending time with. She had a deep faith and was an active member at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, spending time and entertaining at their cabin on Lake Magnor, and playing cards and games.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harland and Dorothy Hartung and infant daughter Angela.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Larry of River Falls; children, Ryan Schultz (Sarah Smeby) of Oakdale, MN, Sara Halvorson (Troy) of River Falls; granddaughters, Amaya, Katherine, Piper Jo; siblings, Mary Fesenmaier (Doug) of Elmwood, WI, Bob Hartung (Miriam) of Bradenton, FL, Lois Helmueller (Mike) of River Falls, Ed Hartung of Bradenton, FL, Jerry Hartung (Judy) of Arkansaw, WI; brothers-in-law, Roger Schultz (Beth Ann) of River Falls, Steve Schultz of Oconomowoc, WI; many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, River Falls, WI. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm Monday at St Bridget Catholic Church and 1 hour prior to Mass on Tuesday. Interment will be in St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery, River Falls.

Her caring and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all.
