JoAnne Marjorie Spears, age 88 passed on to her heavenly home on Saturday May 4, 2024.
She was born in Hudson, Wisconsin on August 17, 1935 to Clarence & Martha (Schriber) Krear. She was an only child but often claimed her cousins were the same as brothers. It was at a dance that she met the love of her life, Thomas Spears, the son of Dr. Austin Spears, who was a longtime dentist in Baldwin. They were married August 2,1958 and shared many years of dancing together. They were blessed with three children and many years of happiness. JoAnne loved to be active. She worked at Swift & Company, Frito-Lay and Land O’Lakes where she made many friendships that have lasted a lifetime. In her younger years JoAnne loved to bowl and was on different bowling teams. She also loved to play cards and was always ready for a competitive game of 500. Tom & JoAnne enjoyed forty years at Camp Brigadoon in Cumberland camping, boating, and having late-night bonfires. JoAnne loved all of God’s creation, the beauty around her and the animals but there was nothing she loved more than her family. She was always close with her three children, their spouses, her nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and was excited about two more that are to be born soon. JoAnne was always willing to help her family in any way that she could and loved each of them to the very core of her soul. She enjoyed spending time with them and watching her great-grandchildren play always brought a smile to her face.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband Tom, and her parents.
She is survived by her children Mike (Kathy) Spears, Julie (Gordy) Dalman, Greg Spears; 9 grandchildren Katrina (Jonathan) Granzin, Tiffany (Shawn) Hopwood, Rachael (Josh) Schmidt, Kara (Nathanael) Spears Satnik, Trevor, Nicole and Tanner Dalman, Viktoria & Alexia Connett Spears. She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as GG and will miss her very much.
