John “Jack” Edward Trok

John Edward Trok, “Jack”, age 66, of Ellsworth, WI passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the River Falls Area Hospital in River Falls, WI. He was born on October 25, 1950 in Red Wing, MN to Burton and Darlene (Anderson) Trok. He was a 1968 graduate of Ellsworth High School. Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for many years in the maintenance department for the Ford Motor Company in St. Paul.

Jack was a wonderful Dad, Papa, brother and friend to so many. Most especially Jack was the best friend and true love of Donna.

Jack celebrated life to the fullest. His nickname has always been Chopper and his love of motorcycles was legendary! For Jack life was never dull. He loved his adventures whether it was a trip to Sturgis, a winter trip to ride bike in Arizona or just one of the weekend trips with the “gang” to wherever the road took us! He loved doing things with his family and was an amazing father figure to Desi and Tete. He enjoyed working in his shed, whether welding one of Donna’s projects, while mumbling under his breath, or fixing a vehicle, he was very mechanical. He loved doing the daily crossword puzzles and when his eyesight no longer allowed that, he kept his mind sharp by watching Jeopardy twice a day and many hours of Andy and Barney. Jack’s sense of humor will live on forever after him with the many stories that can be told by his friends and family. He loved his country and was a very active lifetime member of American Legion Post 204. Jack was also a lifetime member of Pierce County VFW Post 9060 and a member of the American Legion Riders.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Darlene Trok; his aunt, Mary Jane Nelson.

Jack is survived by his loving spousal equivalent of 39 years, Donna Swenson; his loving daughter, Sara Trok; grandson, Desmond Trok; granddaughter, Teyarra Scott; brothers, Doug Trok, Randy (Bunny) Trok, Rick (Mary Lee) Trok, Terry Trok; sister, Connie (Kevin) Olivera; brothers-in-law, Bert Swenson, Ed (Julie) Swenson; sister-in-law, Sally Swenson; uncle, Bob Nelson; many nieces and nephews.
