John ‘Jack’ Kusilek, age 77 of Hudson, died peacefully on July 13, 2018 at his home.

Jack was born on March 8, 1941 in River Falls, Wisconsin to Bernard and Anna (Marks) Kusilek. On June 22, 1955, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Riley and together they were blessed with children. Jack was proud to serve his country in the US Army and was decorated as an expert rifleman. He made a humble life living and working on the farm for over 50 years.

Jack was an avid outdoorsman and with his army background was a great hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed a relaxing game of golf and won 2 hole-in-one awards in Arizona. Jack was very fond of card games and was a mastermind at poker, 500, and Euchre. He was dedicated to playing with his friends every Monday. Jack and Kathy appreciated time spent with family and took great delight in  their trips to Florida, Arizona, and Mexico. Family was the highest priority for Jack. He was a hard worker and did all that he could to provide for his family. Jack adored his children and they adored him. He was proud of them and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack was an excellent husband and a wonderful role model and friend.

Jack will remain in the hearts of his wife, Kathy; children, John W., JR. (Linda), Jodie (Jeff) Robey, Joe (Julie), and Don (Laura); grandchildren, Miranda, Jacy, Tanner, Hayden, and Vivian; great-grandchildren, Carter and Mason; his siblings; and one sister-in-law; as well as other dear relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Anna; and his brother, Dennis.

A Visitation for Jack will be held from 3-6pm on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11thSt., Hudson, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm on Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, WI. Interment will take place in the St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery.
