John Lamont “Jack” Kittleson Jr., age 64 of Cottage Grove MN, died on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his residence, surrounded by the love of family. Jack was born January 10, 1955 in Prescott to parents John L. and Doris A. (Meier) Kittleson. Jack grew up and attended school in Prescott, where he graduated from Prescott High School with the Class of 1973. He was united in marriage to Pamela Tix in 1973. Though their marriage would later dissolve, their union was blessed with two children, Jeremy and Jessica.

Jack worked for many years as a machine operator with 3M. Outside of work, Jack had an affinity for the fast cars of NHRA Drag Racing. His favorite racers were John Force and Kenny Bernstein, and he enjoyed watching them up close each year at the NHRA Nationals in Brainerd. Jack was also a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, who loved his home and spending time with his family. He will be missed dearly.

Jack is survived by his son, Jeremy (Maelee) Kittleson of Grand Rapids MN; his daughter, Jessica (Brian) Hartmann of Hastings MN; grandchildren, Emma, Madison, and Johnathan Kittleson, Sophia Grossman and Amelia Hartmann; great-granddaughter, Tesla Kittleson; siblings, Karen (Jerry) Johnson of Prescott, Linda (Dick) Wethe of Sarasota FL, Stephanie Thompson of N. St. Paul MN, Karol (Jeffrey) Williams of Prescott, and Howie (Lisa) Kittleson of Prescott; as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother.

Memorial Services honoring the life of John L. “Jack” Kittleson Jr. will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 5th at St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1048 Campbell Street N in Prescott WI, with Pastor Tim Rosenow officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the church, beginning at 9:00am. Jack will be laid to rest at the Pine Glen Cemetery in Prescott.
