Joni L. Tennant, 60, of Stillwater, MN, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 2, 2020. Joni was born July 30th, 1959 to parents Howard and Lenore Laventure in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in the Houlton, WI area, where she went to grade school before attending and graduating from Hudson High School. Joni received a Business degree from Cardinal Stritch University; and worked for Andersen Windows as an inventory control manager. Joni had many interests outside of work. She was passionate about animals, and loved taking care of her furry friends including her cats, Flowers, Peters, and Tasha, as well as her dog, Lucy. Each one of them brought her tremendous joy. Joni also enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her expansive flowers gardens. She was an avid watcher of sports, and a loyal fan of all the Minnesota teams. Joni read countless magazines and newspapers over the years; especially while looking out to her bird feeders and keeping tabs on the local bird community. Joni will be remembered for her kind spirit and loving nature by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Joni will remain in the hearts of her son, Cody Tennant; her father, Howard LaVenture; siblings, Joel (Debbie) LaVenture, and Lori Patrick; several nieces and nephews; her beloved cats, Tasha and Flowers; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lenore LaVenture.
