Such a bright spot in my day. Will miss him and his eclectic style of entertainment. May his memory be a blessing.
Joseph (Joe) D. Muchlinski, age 32 of Hudson, Wisconsin died unexpectedly Monday, August 21, 2023 at his home. Joe was born on December 23, 1990 to Bob and Mary Muchlinski in St. Paul, Minnesota where he lived until he was age four. His family then moved to Hudson where he later graduated high school. Joe received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy summa cum laude from Hamline University, was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, and studied abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia. He then earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, being published in the William Mitchell Law Review. He worked as a reinsurance contract analyst for Guy Carpenter & Company.
At a very young age, Joe was creative and always full of joy and energy. In his youth, he had a passion for engaging his family and friends in the production of short movies and, in recent years, he had a large following on TikTok as a creator of comedy skits under his stage name VonViddy. Joe was also a talented musician, playing the guitar and saxophone. He produced an extensive catalogue of music of a wide-range of genres. As a composer he did it all: created the instrumental and percussion beat, wrote the lyrics, recorded the vocals, and mixed the final song, working long hours to bring the final product to completion. And the next day, he was never at a loss for an idea for a new song. Imagination and creativity came naturally, but he also worked tirelessly at honing his craft. And he shared his self-taught skills by tutoring others on the complexities of music production. Joe loved an audience and liked to stand out in the crowd, wearing vibrant Hawaiian shirts and making those around him laugh. Recently, he took it to the next level and tried his hand at on-stage improv, having great fun with that. Throughout his life, Joe was active, enjoying riding his motorcycle, skiing, golfing, bowling, and boating on the St. Croix River with his dad. Something Joe was most proud of was being Banjo, the DayCroix camp counselor, where he went the extra mile to make happy summer memories for his campers. Mostly, Joe was devoted to his family and liked nothing better than spending time around his loving family members.
Joe will remain in the hearts of his parents Bob and Mary Muchlinski; sister Martha (Ben Turnblad) Muchlinski; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Lucille Muchlinski, Douglas and Norma Snelling; aunt Linda St. Ores; and great-aunt Dorothy Rutherford.
A private family service will be held.
Funeral Services Entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI.

I was an avid fan of his music and comedy on tik tok. He was hilarious and thought provoking in his comedy sketches. I looked forward to seeing what he posted online next. He always brightened my day with his exuberant personality & wit in his posts. And he was very gracious with the way he interacted with me and the rest of his online pals & audience. It brings me great sadness to know he has passed on. My heart goes out to his family, friends & loved ones. Rest in Peace Joe.
Your radiant smile, effervescent music and knack for comedy have left an indelible mark on my heart. It was a beautiful experience getting to revel in everything you’ve shared with us. Rest easy now, Joe. 🖤
One of my absolute favorite camp counselors to work with at Camp St. Croix, I was the garden/yoga lady that he would bring his campers to, talented, compassionate a brilliant old soul, with a beautiful mind. I am deeply sorry for this loss of a brilliant human being, I often have good memories of camp and he is in them all, loved his beautiful curly locks of hair.
