Josephine (Erickson) Schleicher

Josephine (Erickson) Schleicher, age 90 of Motley, MN, passed away on April 5, 2022 at Cambridge Sr. Living in Hudson, WI with family by her side. Josephine was born on September 5, 1931 in Hackensack, MN to parents John and Sylvia (Petrie) Goodridge.  Josephine grew up in Motley, MN and married Wylie Erickson and together they raised their two children in Motley. Sadly Wylie passed away in 1989, but Josephine did find love again with Paul Schleicher.

Josephine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and later in life she took up oil painting.

She will remain in the hearts of her Son Gary Erickson and his wife Claire, their sons Nathan (Rosa) and Adam (Ashley), Nathan’s son Xander and Adam’s sons Sullivan and Theodore; Daughter Faye Spilman and her husband Wally, their daughters Tiffany and Ashley, and Tiffany’s son Austin; brothers Warren Goodridge and Chuck Goodridge, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Wylie Erickson and her second husband Paul Schleicher; brothers Ken Goodridge, Dan Goodridge, Donny Goodridge and Clyde Goodridge, as well as many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Josephine will be held on April 14th, 2022 at Motley Free Methodist Church in Motley, MN, with Rev Jim Johnson officiating. Her service will start at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the family.
