Joyce A. Belvedere

Joyce Ann Belvedere, age 73, of North Hudson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August 2, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Joyce was born in Chicago, IL, on October 6, 1942 to parents, Harold and June (Nielson) Ericson. She grew up and attended school in Villa Park, IL. Joyce married Anthony Belvedere. Although the couple later divorced, they were blessed with four children. The family moved to Florida for a few years, but later settled in Balsam Lake, WI. She lived and worked in Little Canada, MN for over 25 years. Joyce moved to North Hudson, WI in 2011 to be closer to her family.

Joyce adored her family and loved spending time with them. She was especially fond of spending time with her great grandchildren. Joyce enjoyed playing bingo, playing candy crush and taking care of her garden. But most of all, Joyce was the ultimate hostess. She was an excellent cook and was delighted to prepare meals for family gatherings. Joyce also used her talents in the kitchen to assist Catholic Charities at the Hudson Community Children’s Center by cooking meals for the children. Her gentle and giving nature will be missed by all who knew her.

Joyce is survived by her children, Anthony Belvedere II, Tina (Jeffrey) Cooper, and Michael Belvedere; grandchildren, Tia Belvedere, Anthony Belvedere III, Blake Miadl, Ava Belvedere, Sheena (Robert III) Wolfe, Shannon Cooper; William (Valerie) Webber, and Jonny Belvedere; great-grandchildren, Raymond Wolfe, Joniie and Vincent Ferraro, and Ethan, Abigail, Tessa and William Webber; brothers Jack (Joan) Ericson, James (Sharon) Ericson, and Harry Ericson; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Johnny Belvedere; her parents; sister-in-law, Marlene Ericson, and ex-husband, Anthony Belvedere.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. , with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service on Friday, August 5, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, as well as one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Hudson, WI.
