Joyce Carol Hafner, age 69 of Hudson died Sunday September 5th 2010 at Region’s Hospital in St. Paul. Joyce was born on December 7, 1940 in Winona, Minnesota; the daughter of Kenneth and Lucille (Vick) Greenwood. She was raised in LaCrosse where she graduated from Central High School. On May 29, 1961, she was united in marriage Martin F. Hafner in Caledonia, MN. She enjoyed being a homemaker as their union was blessed with three boys; Martin, Jeff, and Jason. After they had grown, she worked for Jones Chemical in North Hudson as a receptionist. Joyce enjoyed her occasional trips to the casinos or seeking out a great buy on the QVC Channel. She also liked reading and playing video games with her grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her sons; Martin (Tonja) Hafner of Brooklyn Park, Jeff Hafner of Hudson, Jason Hafner of Hudson,  grandchildren Amber, Austen, Deven, Justin, Alex, Thomas, Michael; her mother Lucille Greenwood of Eau Claire, brother Ron (Beret) Greenwood of Janesville, WI, sister Mary (Greg) Cowan of Eau Claire, as well as her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth and husband Martin. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM Friday September 10th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine Street in Hudson. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 until 7PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson and one hour prior to the mass at church on Friday. Memorials preferred.
