Joyce Anne Stone, age 71 of Baldwin WI, died on Thursday evening, September 29th at the Baldwin Care Center. Joyce was born November 17, 1939 in Emerald WI to parents Howard Orville and Alice Mary (Parent) Scholl. Joyce attended Woodville High School. Joyce was married to Duane L. Bonnes. Their union in marriage was blessed with three children, Debby, Pam, and Rod. After Duane’s passing, Joyce was later married to Delroy A. Stone on October 1, 1961 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua IA. Their union in marriage would be blessed with a son, Jeff.
Joyce was a homemaker who could sew nearly anything, making clothing for herself and her children. She was also brave enough to drive truck and deliver diesel fuel to local farmers when Stoney wasn’t available to. She would enjoy daily trips to the grocery store, going shopping, staying up late watching David Letterman, doing crossword puzzles, and vegetable gardening. Joyce collected purses, and in later years, Beanie Babies. However, She gave away all her love to her grandchildren, and that is what brought her the most joy. Whether baking pumpkin bars, or picking strawberries, or just spending time with her grandkids, Joyce was at her best while being ‘grandma’.
Joyce is survived by husband of 51 years, Delroy ‘Stoney’ Stone; children, Debby (Jim) Reich, Pam Richmond, Rod (Jo) Bonnes, and Jeff (Cheryl) Stone; grandchildren, Angie (Chad) Barnard, Brian (Michelle) Reich, Adam Reich, Hollie Bonnes, Andrea Wallin, Liz Wallin, Alice Stone, and Shane Stone; great-grandchildren, Sophie Reich, Luke Barnard, Camille Barnard, Chase Coleman, Brenden Coleman, Natalie Wallin, and Ethan Helgeson; sister, Shelby Berkseth; brother, Roger Scholl; brother-in-law, Gene (Mary) Bonnes; nieces, Tami (Randy) Ramberg, and Kim (Scott) Coddington; other relatives, and many dear friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Duane Bonnes; parents, Howard and Alice Scholl; aunt, Idele Borgen; and brother-in-law, Don Berkseth.
