Juanita B. Geisz

Juanita B. Geisz, 87, of Hudson, WI died Friday September 29, 2023.

Juanita was born on October 28, 1935 in Greenville, MS to Wade and Alma Lee (Carmack) Bolton.

On February 14, 1955 Juanita was united in marriage to Eugene Geisz in Greenville, MS. They met when Eugene was stationed in the military in Greenville. They were blessed with one daughter, Mary, who was always precious to her.

Juanita spent many years volunteering, teaching confirmation and Bible class. She loved playing the piano and was known for her creativity, sewing, knitting, and re-upholstering furniture.

Juanita loved learning and education. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from St. Catherine University before earning her Master’s in Education from UW-River Falls. She went on to get another Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University and began her own private practice. She helped many people over the years through blending sound counseling practice with authentic Christian teaching.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond for their wonderful care of Juanita and our family through this difficult time. We are truly grateful for your love, care, and compassion. We would also like to thank Rivertown Guardians for their exemplary care and commitment to Juanita.

Juanita remains in the hearts of her husband of 68 years Gene; daughter, Mary (Paul) Wichtendahl; grandchildren Corban and Courtney Wichtendahl.

She is preceded in death by her parents Wade E. Bolton Jr. and Alma Lee Carmack; brother, Curtis Fisackerly; and mother-and father-in-law Minnie and Isaac Geisz.

A Celebration of Juanita’s life will be held 2:00-5:00PM on Friday, October 27, 2023 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Hudson, 520 S. Eleventh St, Hudson, WI.
