Juanita June Eckstrom, age 80 of Lakeland, MN, passed away peacefully at her home on May 8, 2015. Juanita was born August 17, 1934 in Watertown, SD, the daughter of Lloyd William and Violet Pearl (Sutton) DeHart. She was united in marriage to Morton K. Eckstrom on March 25, 1955. Juanita’s life was blessed with four children: Terry, Patti, Sandy and Pam. Along with raising her family, Juanita worked as a store manager for Conn-Co Shoes in Stillwater for over 25 years.  

Juanita enjoyed camping, especially along the North Shore near Lake Superior. She adored her yorkie dog, Angel, who brought her great joy and companionship. She also enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, as Nita had a strong faith, and a great love for her savior Jesus Christ. Juanita cherished her time with her children and grandchildren, and they are blessed with many special memories.

Juanita will remain in the hearts of her children: Terry (Beth) Eckstrom of Centuria, WI, Patti (Mike) Ysker of Yaak, Montana, Sandy (Bill) Tait of Lakeland, and Pam (Rick) Belt of West Lakeland; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Beverly Eckstrom of Hines, MN and Deanie Plate of Wasilla, Alaska; dear friend, Burt Kvernevig of Lakeland; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.  

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Morton; parents, Lloyd and Violet DeHart; and brothers, Calvin, Wayne and Bernard.

Private family services were held.  Interment will take place in Hines, MN.
