Judith (Judy) Gail Kamrowski, age 79 of Baldwin, WI, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on January 16th, 2025.
Daughter of Vera Josephine (Geisness) and Harvey Davies, Judy was born in Baldwin, WI on November 29th, 1945. After graduating from Central High School in Minneapolis, in 1964, she moved to Mason City, IA. A few years after her return to the Twin Cities, Judy married her sweetheart, Jerome (Jerry) Kamrowski in 1974, and they lived on the east side of St. Paul for 22 years to raise their family.
As a Certified Nurse’s Aide since 1959, Judy worked the graveyard shift at several nursing homes in the Twin Cities and Stillwater areas. Throughout her career, Judy was known to be a hard-worker and staunch advocate for her fellow nurses, as well as a very attentive and kind caregiver to her residents. Her friendships made along the way were lifelong and enduring. In her eyes, every individual was equally deserving of love and care, as she opened her heart and home to many, fostering and adopting children who became part of her extended family.
After her children moved away, Judy was able to realize her lifelong dream of becoming an avid horse owner. While boarding their horses at Rode Ranch in Roberts, WI, they became certified as paraplegic riders and facilitated rides with children and adults of various handicaps. Eventually they decided to sell their home in the cities, and for the last 29 years, Judy and Jerry have resided at the Blue Horse Ranch in Baldwin, WI, with 17 horses and a menagerie of dogs, cats (and even birds), where they have enjoyed trail rides with friends and family, riding in parades throughout the neighboring communities, and even winning a riding competition at the MN State Fair.
Judy had great love and devotion to her children Melissa, Jennifer, Kellie (Jon), Diana (James), Steven (Trisha), Sande, and Annie. Judy was also a proud and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered as a humorous and wise woman who could befriend anyone that she met and cared deeply for anybody that crossed her path, even if it was for just a moment.
Judy is survived by her husband of fifty years and soulmate, Jerome Kamrowski; beloved sisters and close friend Joyce (John) Mykulak, and Jean (Robert) Lifton; children Melissa Karl, Jennifer Peterson, Kellie (Jon) Sasseville, Diana (James) Schlafer, Steven (Trisha) Kamrowski, Sande Sutton, Annie Paredes; Plus, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Judy is preceded in death by her mother Vera Josephine and father Harvey Davies; brothers Marion Davies and Merle Davies; father-in-law and mother-in-Law, Anton and Josephine Kamrowski.
