Judith Sajka

Judith Ann Sajka, nee Johnson, age 64 of Barronett, WI, formerly of St. Paul and Sanford, FL, passed away on April 2, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.  Judith was born January 26, 1948 in El Paso, TX to Rex and Beatrice (Crownhart) Johnson.  She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1966.  She studied nursing at the University of Minnesota. Judy was united in marriage November 2, 1974 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Paul to Vladzimir Sajka. Judy worked as a claims consultant for Reliance Insurance Company for 22 years and CNA Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance, from which she retired in September 2009.

Judy was artistic and used her creative ability in intricate needlework.  She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed cooking extravagant meals for her family and friends.  Judy was an avid reader of good books.  She had a strong work ethic and was successful in her claims consulting career, receiving several awards.  Family was everything to Judith; she cherished her time with her children and grandchildren and always found a way to make others feel special.  She shared a special bond and love of horses with her daughter, Shannon.  Judy’s generous and loving heart was self-sacrificing and always there to help others in their time of need.

Judy will remain in the hearts of her loving husband, Vlad; daughters, Shannon (Tony) Willmeth of Barronett and Tori Svoboda (Kenny Hills) of Hudson; grandchildren, Tianna, Tyler & Torissa Willmeth; sister, Janet Thomas of St. Paul, formerly of Hudson; brother, Richard Johnson of Blaine; sister-in-law, Jane Johnson of Stillwater; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by son, David Sajka; brother, David Johnson; mother, Beatrice Morrall; father, Rex Johnson; step fathers, Donald Murphy and Bernard Morrall.

Funeral Services honoring Judith’s life will take place 11:00 AM Saturday, April 7 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, with Pastor Bob Bipes officiating.  Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will take place at Willow River Cemetery of Hudson.  Pallbearers assisting with the services will be: Brian Johnson, Dan Johnson, Ron Johnson, Kenny Hills, Jeff Rademacher and Jason Morrison.  Funeral services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson (715) 386-3725.  www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com
