June Ann Spaulding, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, age 64, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away at Regions Hospital on June 8, 2011. June was born on March 3, 1947, to Orville and Marcella (Beauvais) Schaar in Nye, Wisconsin. She grew up and attended school in Somerset, WI. June worked as a daycare provider within her community – in later years providing daycare out of her home. She loved children, especially her children and grandchildren. Grandma June’s house was always the place to be for sleepovers and the grandchildren could always expect a Sunday phone call. She also attended as many of their school activities and events as she could. With her family, June enjoyed visits or a game of cards (500, Rummy, War). She liked to relax with word searches or by watching movies on Lifetime and the Syfy Channel. Most recently, she enjoyed reading and watching the Twilight Saga with her daughters and granddaughters. She was a fun-loving woman who was never afraid to “tell it how it was”, but no matter what, she would stick by your side. Throughout her whole life, she maintained a strong Christian Faith and tried to be an example of that to her family.
June is survived by her: children, Tiffany (Dennis) Leavens, Steven Spaulding, Angela (Joel) Kudrle, Bradley (Jennifer) Spaulding, and Heather (Adam) Malean; grandchildren, Paige, Seth, Harley, Emilee, Jakub, Graden, Kara, Blaine and Taylor; siblings, Orville (Gloria) Schaar Jr., Roger Schaar, Peggy (Buzzy) Larson, Mary (Rob) Swendson, Debbie (Wally) Germain, Bonnie (Dennis) Schmidt, Sue Paulson, Louis (Mary) Schaar, and Robert (Linda) Schaar. She is further survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Marcella (Beauvais) Schaar and brothers, David and Allen.
A memorial visitation for June will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011, from 4-7pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, Wisconsin. Memorials are preferred. Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 14, at 11 o’clock, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Farmington Township, Wisconsin.
