Karen Larson

Karen Norma Larson (nee: Albertson), age 73, died peacefully on May 12, 2013 at home in Star Prairie, WI.

Karen was born on August 13, 1939 in St. Paul, MN to Norman John and Pearl Lucille (Chapin) Albertson. She attended school in River Falls, and after her graduation, began working for Duro Bag in Hudson and later for GS Electric in Hudson as an assembler.

On December 30, 1967, she was united in marriage to Ken Larson in River Falls. 

Karen spent her summers working in her garden and camping in Ely, MN. She loved showing off her koi fish pond and entertaining her friends and family at her home. Karen was a collector, craftswoman, gardener, and proud mother and grandmother. She was loved and will always be missed and remembered as a strong and giving woman. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Pearl Albertson; and brother, Ronald Albertson.

She was survived by her adoring husband, Ken Larson; her two sons, Lance (Lori) Larson and Lon (Donna) Larson; four daughters: Brooke (Dan) Fisher, Noelle (Terry) Lokrantz, Kenda (Henry) Kuehndorf, and Autumn Larson; grandchildren: Justin, Derek, Brian, Jeremy, Stephanie, Zack, Tyler, Jeremy, Amanda, Jordan, and Allyssa; great-grandchildren: Treyton, Jaxon, Crue, Sophia, Imagen, and Cole; three sisters: Joy (Bob) Simpson, Diane (Bill) Morgan, and Starla (Gordon) Deiss; and brother, Kevin (Patti) Albertson.

A Memorial Service for Karen will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Hudson, WI, with a visitation starting at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred.
