Karen R. Schultz

Karen Rose Schultz, age 86, of Hudson, formerly of Waterford, passed away on February 7, 2025. Karen was born on August 17, 1938, to parents Otto and Norma (Craven) Koch and grew up in the Milwaukee area, where she met and married Robert Schultz in 1958. Together they raised their four children in Waterford, WI. Karen worked as a stock room clerk at Foster-Forbes Glass Co. for many years before her retirement in 1994.

Karen was a vibrant and spirited individual known for her quick wit and her caring nature. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including traveling, her love for playing cribbage, reading, and soaking up the sun. An avid competitor, she enjoyed participating in a pool league and enjoyed visiting the casino where she enjoyed playing video poker.

Her family and friends will remember her not only for her playful spirit but also for the warmth and kindness she showed to everyone around her. Karen loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was proud of all of them. Karen’s ability to bring joy into the lives of those she loved will be deeply missed.

She will remain in the hearts of her children James “Pete” (Jean) Schultz, Suzanne Neil, Valarie Brown and Robert Jr. (Amy) Schultz; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janice Dillig.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert and parents Otto and Norma, as well seven siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. and luncheon afterwards. Memorials are preferred to the Hudson Hospital Infusion Center.
