Katherine Ann Pace, age 83, of River Falls, WI passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Kinnic Health & Rehab in River Falls, WI. Katherine was born on March 8, 1935 in Pierce County, WI to William and Anne (Cotter) Kirchner. She was a graduate of Prescott High School. On March 2, 1954 Katherine was united in marriage to Claude Pace. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Michael, Sherry, and William. Katey worked in food service in the River Falls community for many years, working for the River Falls School District, University of Wisconsin – River Falls, and St. Bridget’s Catholic School.
Family was an important of Katey’s life, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved softball and played on a softball league until she was 60 years old. She also enjoyed bowling league, playing cards and trips to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anne Kirchner; husband, Claude Pace; grandson, Patrick Pace, daughter-in-law, Molly Pace; brothers, Bill, John and Chuck Kirchner; sisters, Agnes Johnson, Mary Alice Peterson, Inez Baker, and Charlene Kirchner; sister-in-law, Donna (Pace) and her husband Bob Bernard.
Katherine is survived by her children, Mike (Amy Parnell) Pace, Sherry (Duane) Bruggeman, Bill (Jules) Pace; grandchildren, Joe Pace, Shannon (Tony) Tellin, Michelle (Joe) Engel, David (Morgan) Bruggeman, Aimee Pace, Sarah Bruggeman; her siblings, Jim Kirchner, Esther Kirchner, Ruth Kirchner, Helen Fasbender, Raymond (Christine) Kirchner; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 211 E. Division St., River Falls, with Fr. Gerald Harris officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at the church. Interment will take place St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery.
