Kathryn Schlee, age 81, of Bay City, WI, passed away in November 2023 of late-stage dementia. Kathy was born and raised in Minneapolis. She worked in a variety of restaurants and event/catering companies in the Twin Cities for many years before following her dream of opening an antique/collectibles shop. Along with her husband, woodworker Fred Kreuter, she created, owned, and operated Oldstuff Antiques & Collectibles in Bay City for over 25 years. Kathy and Fred delighted in visiting with customers from across the U.S. and often met travelers from around the world.
She loved spending time with her family, gardening, traveling the country to visit family, exploring, searching for collectibles for the shop, getting good deals at auctions and estate sales, laughing and telling stories with family and friends, snuggling up on the couch (“Kathy’s Corner”) to watch black & white movies or British tv mysteries, making sure everyone was well fed and taken care of, and enjoying a good chocolate shake. She was dearly loved, and her loving, funny, kind, supportive, inspiring, strong, intelligent, and adventurous spirit will be missed by her husband, two daughters, son-in-law, granddaughter, sister, brother, in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
