Kelli J. Schmidt

Kelli Jean (Boles) Schmidt, age 47 of Hudson, died peacefully surrounded by her family on March 6, 2018.

Kelli was born on November 2, 1970 to Douglas and Yvonne (Heuer) Boles in Le Sueur, Minnesota. She was a Senior Reimbursement Specialist for Summit Orthopedics where she was recognized as the 2016 Employee of the Year. Kelli was active in her community and found joy in serving others. She was the President of the Hudson Area Swim Association for 2 years, a volunteer for the Ty Barberine Foundation, and taught confirmation at Bethel Lutheran Church.

Kelli married her soulmate, David Schmidt on October 20, 2001. Together they made a great team. David brought calmness while Kelli brought exuberance and energy that never seemed to end. Together, they faced every obstacle and celebrated every success. Their family was made complete with the addition of their daughter Grace. Kelli loved being a mom and traveling with her family, especially to Disney World. She had a big heart and her smile brought happiness to all those she met. It is a unique person who gave so much joy and was loved by so many.

Kelli is survived by the love of her life, David Schmidt; beautiful daughter, Grace; mother, Yvonne “Vonnie” Boles; brothers, Doug (Celeste) Boles III and Robert Boles; nieces and nephews, Cassenna (Kyle) Price, Chad (Janine) Marty, Haley Boles, Destiny and Harmony Boles, Allison and Joe Schmidt; great-niece and nephew, Collin Pinnt and Carter Price; parents-in-law, Dale and Jeanne Schmidt, brother-in-law, Dan (Susan) Schmidt; aunt, Carol; she had a special relationship with her aunt, Cheryl (John) Schmidt and her Godfather, Fr. Gerald “Jerry” Harris; other relatives and friends; and her beloved dog, Ringo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Doug Boles II; grandparents, Doug and Shirley Boles and Robert and Alice Heuer; uncle, David and aunt, Deborah.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, March 9 from 3:00 – 6:00PM, with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00PM, at Bethel Lutheran Church – Highlands Campus, 504 Frontage Rd, Hudson, WI. A meal will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Grace’s Education or the Ty Barberine Foundation. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI.
