Kelly J. Fuller age 87 of Amery, formerly of West Bend, Wisconsin passed away Friday November 28th 2014 at Willow Ridge Healthcare in Amery. Kelly was born on June 20, 1927 in River Falls, Wisconsin; the daughter of Albion and Bessie Fuller. Kelly was one of four children. After graduating from River Falls High School in 1945, she furthered her education attending the University of Wisconsin – Stout; graduating in 1949. She would use her schooling as she taught home economics at Sheboygan Vocational School, Stockton, California and Wisconsin Rapids. In 1957, she made West Bend her home. She would serve Homemaking Coordinator and Instructor for West Bend School of Vocational and Adult Education. Moreover, she taught English and Trade/Industry for the G.E.D. program in the surrounding area. During this time, she also taught for West Bend School district. During her tenure in West Bend, she organized and served as advisor for Vocational Homemaking Club. This would be better known as Moraine Educational Club in later years. She completed her Master’s Degree in 1968 on a sabbatical leave in Madison. She taught classes at the University of Wisconsin – Washington County Campus and worked with students in reading and writing labs. Furthermore, she was a substitute teacher at Holy Angels Parochial School. Later, she also worked as a dietary supervisor at the Samaritan Home and Hospital. She was very proud to be a foster parent with the CCSA (Comprehensive Community Services Association) program in Washington County for 18 years.
Kelly is survived by her nieces, nephews, foster family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Albion and Bessie, brother Farnum Fuller, sisters Bonita (Joseph) Monness, and Beola (Bernard) Francis.
Funeral service for Kelly will be 3PM Thursday, December 4th at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. Burial will be in the Baldwin Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at O’Connells Thursday afternoon.
