Kenneth Albrant

Kenneth Scott Albrant age 53 of Baldwin, formerly of Burnsville / Owatonna, MN, died of natural causes, in his sleep on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Ken was born on May 22, 1960 at Bathesda in Arlington, Virginia to Charles and Sandra Albrant. He grew up in the Manor in Rochester and attended John Marshall High School.  Ken was free spirited spending his later teens in California as a ‘flower selling hippie’. He would come back to Minnesota where he and his first wife raised their daughter Tara. He always held Tara close to his heart. During these years, he worked as a machinist for Owatonna Tool. He would find his true love, Kelly King, and they would be married in 1996 in Rochester. They were blessed with one son, Nathan Kenneth who was born on December 8, 2004. Ken was ever so proud to be a stay at home dad and felt blessed to share each and everyday of Nathan’s life with him. Ken followed a dream and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis in 2004. He thoroughly enjoyed freedoms in his work that he never dreamed possible. Ken loved deer hunting near La Crosse with his dad earlier in life, or reading literature on history and the Civil War. He loved his rock and roll music and having a healthy conversation or debate on most anything.

He will be truly be missed by his family and remembered in their hearts forever. Surviving are his wife Kelly; son Nathan; parents Charles and Sandra Albrant of Nashwauk, MN; siblings Daniel (Lucinda Maine) Albrant and their children Christopher & Danny of Arlington, VA; Laura (Rob) Owens and their children Ian & Kayla of Keewatin, MN, parents-in-law John (Sandra) King of Lyle, MN; and brother-in-law Dan (Wendy) King of Lyle, MN.
