Kenneth “Ken” Graf, age 77, of Woodville, passed away at his home on July 15, 2017.
Ken was born on March 12, 1940 in St. Peter, Minnesota to William and Alice (Quick) Graf. He graduated from Hammond High School, the class of 1958. That same week he was united in marriage to Marcia White, and also entered into Military service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Kenneth and Marcia’s marriage was blessed with five children, Mandy, Kory, Todd, Bridget, and Megan. Ken was a lifelong farmer. Most important to Ken was his faith, his family, and his farm. He was an active member in his community serving on the Baldwin-Woodville School Board for 12 years, Woodville American Legion, 4-H Leader for decades, and the FSA Board. Ken also was a devoted member to the Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ serving as a Deacon, Trustee, and Chair of the Building Committee. Outside of farming, Ken enjoyed a good round of golf, bowling league in Glenwood City, and playing cards. He also loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Ken leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and a content heart.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marcia; children, Mandy (Mark) Clay of Woodville, Kory (Betsy) Graf of Elmwood, Todd (Lori) Graf of Woodville, Bridget (Randy) Rau of Minneapolis, and Megan (Dan) Frye of Baldwin; grandchildren: Scott (Amy) Clay, Kenneth Clay, Marcus Clay, Marcy (Joe) Sain, Tony (Jessica) Graf, Jason Graf, Robyn (Jed) Larson, Michelle (Blake) Graf, Amy (Kolt) Wolske, Nicki Graf, Casey (Jake) Juedes, Dustin Graf, Cameron and Dylan Frye; great-grandchildren: Kyla, Carter, Alaina, Jaxson, Zoey, Preston, Anikah, Braxton, Aiden, Adlee, Kenna, and Bode; 4 brothers, Wallace (Merna) Graf of Baldwin, Richard (Melita) Graf of River Falls, Larry (Bev) Graf of Woodbury, and Donald (Rockie) Graf of Roberts. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Sharon and her husband Lowell. Kenneth was preceded in death his parents.
Funeral services for Ken will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19 at Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ, 1001 Birch Drive, Roberts, with Pastor Del Permann officiating. Visitation will take place 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street, Baldwin and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment with Military Honors will take place at the Warren Cemetery in Roberts.
