Kent D. Luebke, age 62, of Hudson, WI, passed away on September 30, 2013 at American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, WI, surrounded by family.
Kent was born on May 8, 1951 in River Falls, WI to Darrel and Dorothy (Guith) Luebke. After his graduation from Hudson High School in 1969, he completed some schooling at University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1971 and proudly served in country until 1974, doing tours in Turkey and Okinawa. Following his discharge from the Army, he began his career with Andersen Windows Corporation, and after 27 years, retired in 2010.
Kent was an true outdoorsman. He loved spending time up at his cabin – hunting and fishing. He was a pet lover and enjoyed taking the family dogs up to the cabin. He was a laid back person with a good and gentle heart.
He is survived by his father, Darrel of Hudson, WI; sisters, Sherry (Ron) Thompson of New Richmond, WI and Jodi Luebke of Hudson, WI; nephews: Ryan Thompson of Storm Lake, IA, Scott Thompson of New Richmond, WI, and Jason Thompson of New Richmond, WI; aunts; many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy.
Funeral Service for Kent will be held at noon on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
