Kim Paul

Kim Koralyn (Reinhardt) Paul of Baldwin was called home on Thursday, April 14, 2011, the same day our Creator gave her life.  After a courageous 16-month battle against Leiomyosarcoma, Kim has been freed of suffering.  During her short, allotted 50 years, she gave the world a wealth of loving care, inspiration, and hope.

Kim was very involved in cheerleading and the Syttende Mai court during her high school years at Baldwin-Woodville high school, from which she graduated in 1979.  Kim went on studying at WITI in New Richmond where she became a Medical Assistant.  Her career began as a dental assistant for Dr. Ray and Jan Price, both of whom were lifelong friends.  She also worked for Dr. Hank Heilman in the orthodontic practice and Dr. Joel Stoeckler at the Baldwin Area Medical Center. Kim’s real niche as a paraprofessional at Greenfield Elementary was meaningful and fulfilling to her as she got to do what she was designed for – caring for and helping children.

Kim was grateful for the blessings bestowed upon her and always shared them to the fullest, especially with her two children whom she was very proud of and supported selflessly.  A strong and faithful Spirit, Kim served as a stronghold to her family, church, and community.  She spent many years teaching Sunday school and Bible school at Immanuel Eve. Lutheran Church in Woodville.  Kim’s loving compassion, confidence, and drive will continue to inspire her loved ones as her dreams live on through them.  Kim’s love of celebration will be honored and remembered as we celebrate her life, which continues on as she sings a new song in God’s choir of angels.  Mother, daughter, sister, aunt, or friend, however you remember Kim, may she remind you that all things are possible.

Kim is survived by her children Logan (Kelcie) Paul and Korbin Paul, granddaughter Reese Paul, mother Shirley Reinhardt, brother Jeff (Brenda) Reinhardt, sister Wendy (Dave) Brandt, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. Kim is preceded in death by brother Robie Reinhardt, father Bob Reinhardt, and sister-in-law Karen Paul.

Funeral service for Kim will be 11AM Monday April 18th at Immanuel Lutheran Church; 2526 80th Avenue, Woodville with Pastor Wayne Hilgendorf officiating. Musicians will be Jeanne Steffen and Dr. Brian Kersten. Burial will be in the church cemetery with active casketbearers being Kristen Cicchese, Amy Geurkink, Deb Nichols, Lori Elhorn, Deanne Richards, and Lori Hadley. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 until 8PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church as well as one hour prior to the service at church on Monday morning. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers and will be used for her children’s secondary college education and children requiring special education. Funeral services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
