Lauren E. Phillipps

Lauren Elizabeth Phillipps, age 15 of Woodville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 26, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lauren was born on June 9, 2003 in Woodbury, Minnesota to Scott and Holly (Eytcheson) Phillipps. She was the first of six blessings that were the result of Scott and Holly’s love and faith. Lauren had the gift of encouragement and loved to be able to talk and support others. She absolutely loved being around people, it was a source of great comfort to her. She was involved in her church’s youth group which she thoroughly enjoyed. Lauren reveled in planning parties; if someone had a birthday, Lauren was never far behind with the perfect ideas and details to celebrate.

Lauren was diagnosed with B-cell non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on May 25th. Even though she was faced with a difficult trial, Lauren submitted her will to God and wanted Him to be glorified in her life through her sickness. Throughout the time of her illness she took comfort in her favorite Psalm, Psalm 23. She especially found comfort in verse 4, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me”. Now she is at peace and in the loving hands of her Savior.

Lauren will remain in the hearts of loving parents, Scott and Holly; wonderful siblings, Haley, Greta, Byron, Chase, and Quinn; grandparents, Randy & Debbie Phillipps, Susan Eytcheson, and Tracy & Shirley Eytcheson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended church family, and dear friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5-7PM on Friday, July 6 at Twin Cities Bible Church, 2555 Hazelwood St., Maplewood, MN; with a Memorial Service at 7PM. Lauren will be laid to rest at 10AM on Saturday, July 7 at the Baldwin Cemetery in Baldwin, WI. There will be a fellowship time to follow at the Phillipps home, 2543 80th Ave Woodville. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Twin Cities Bible Church or the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
