LaVerne M. Zastrow, age 85, of River Falls, WI passed away February 4, 2015 at Hudson Hospital in Hudson, WI. She was born October 30, 1929 in Little Black, WI to Martin and Ludmilla (Rothamer) VanLaarhoven. On June 15, 1949 LaVerne was united in marriage to Lyle M. Zastrow at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

LaVerne is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lyle of River Falls, WI (Lyle passed away February 16, 2015); daughter, Linda Zelig (husband, James Bohn) of Roseville, MN, Lila Zastrow (husband, David Hendrickson) of Seymour, WI, Lana Zastrow of Appleton, WI; two grandsons, Erik (Katie) Steen and Jeffrey Steen; great-grandson, Franklin Steen.

A joint memorial service for LaVerne and Lyle will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls, WI. A gathering of family and friends will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to VocalEssence, River Falls American Legion or Humane Society.
