Leatrice Joy Schommer, 86, of Ellsworth, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Ellsworth, WI. Leatrice was born on November 14, 1928 in Red Wing, MN the daughter of Milton and Erma (Ogden) Thompson. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, flower gardening, music, dancing, socializing, playing cards, and watching the Packers on TV. Leatrice is survived by her four children: Carol Steves, FL; Joe (Kathy) Pechacek, Ellsworth, WI; Cathy (Gregg) Poquette, Eagan, MN; Carrie (Terry) Hove, Ellsworth, WI. Step-children: Kathy Jo (Doug) Scholl, Frank (Darlene) Schommer, Jeanne (Mike) O’Connell, Rick (Wendy) Schommer, Valarie (Dennis) Baskin, Nick (Julie) Schommer. Many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents, and sister Vivian.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 1:00pm, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, WI. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, (Big River) rural River Falls, WI.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
